Grace Weller, from Bath Spa University was chosen as the winner of the George Gold Award.

Now, Grace has won £10,000, as well as £2,000 for her university alongside a paid design placement with George and the opportunity to have a collection produced with George. "I’m already looking forward to translating my collection for George. It will be great to redesign it for a wider audience and see the pieces from a new angle, keeping the collection unique to my own style.”

Grace Weller of Bath Spa University was chosen as the Womenswear Award winner, as well as the George Gold Award winner.

Winning £5,000 for herself and £1,000 for her university, she was chosen for her outstanding collection and demonstration of exceptional creativity, design, cut and construction, colour and fabric.

NOTTINGHAM TRENT UNIVERSITY

Aimee Dunn of Nottingham Trent University won the coveted Menswear Award. She won £5,000 for herself and £1,000 for her university.

Aimee's impressive collection was judged on her creativity, catwalk impact, workmanship and potential and, because of her impressive delivery all four, was named the 2014 winner.

NOTTINGHAM TRENT UNIVERSITY

 

Rebecca Swann of Nottingham Trent university won the Stuart Peters Visionary Knitwear Award.

For GFW 2014, Swann was named winner for her creation of a directional and innovative knitwear collection that showed an appropriate use of colour, texture, yarn and silhouette. Her collection was chosen for its creativity, fashion forward approach and excellence in construction.

MANCHESTER SCHOOL OF ART

 

Camilla Grimes of the Manchester School of Art was awarded the Creative Catwalk Award.

Demonstrating an extraordinary level of originality, creativity and conceptual understanding, as well as garment construction executed with impressive skill, innovation and workmanship, she won £1,000 for herself and £250 for her university.

Anna Grundy from UCLAN was chosen as the winner of the Fashion Marketing Award with a final product that was described by the judges as having a "really polished, innovative campaign that could easily roll out tomorrow".

With intense market research, analysis of trends and a solid marketing plan that showed the value of innovation, Grundy won £750 for herself and £250 for her university.

Stephanie Brindley from Nottingham Trent was chosen as the accessories award winner for GFW 2014.

Brindley produced accessories that were selected by the judges for their "originality, huge desirability, coherence and their beautiful craftsmanship."

NORTHBROOK UNIVERSITY

 

Hannah Byrne of Northbrook university was chosen as the winner of the Barclays New Business Idea Award.

Producing an innovative idea aimed at filling a gap in the market, Ambridge was selected as the winner from her originality and innovation. Supported by a strong rationale and realistic financial projections, Ambridge won £750 for herself and £250 for her university.

Melissa Poulton, from Birmingham City University was chosen as the winner of the Fashion Media Award.

Judged by Jessica Bumpus of Vogue.co.uk and Maurice Mullen of the Evening Standard, they chose Melissa for her creativity and original thinking, as well as the relevance to market that she showed with her ideas.

Presented by Rebekah Roy at GFW 2014, Twinks Burnett of Arts University Bournemouth was named the winner of the Fashion Styling Award.

Described by Rebekah as "a clear winner in so many different ways," Twinks demonstrated the ability to communicate effectively through style and mood whilst constantly showing a personal and original vision.
