Eligibility & Submissions:
Open to all international member universities, with a maximum of three entries allowed per institution. The International Accessories Award aims to recognise the vital role of accessories, promoting universities and graduates contributing to the design and development of shoes, bags, and other fashion accessories. Universities are invited to submit the top three digital accessory designs from their final-year students for judging.
Categories:
Eligible categories include bags/belts, footwear, garment accessories, jewellery, leather goods, non-leather goods, and millinery.
Digital Criteria:
Submissions should demonstrate a contemporary and innovative approach, excite the international market, push boundaries with future thinking, and be supported by broad research connecting ideas to the developed accessory or range. Include details on materials and embellishments, showcasing craftsmanship and/or technology. A supporting statement explaining the concept and realisation, with images illustrating how criteria are met, is required. Digital submissions should not exceed 15 slides.
Important Dates:
Award Submission Deadline: Monday, May 19, 2025, at 6 p.m.
Industry experts will judge all online entries. The winner and runner-up will be announced at the Graduate Fashion Week 2025 reception following the GFWi catwalk show at The Truman Brewery on Sunday, June 15. If the winner and runner-up cannot attend, the international award will be accepted for them, and the trophy will be sent to them after the event.
