Submission:
From 3D design visualisation and development to AR dressing rooms, gaming avatars, and beyond, the rapidly growing area of digital fashion is transforming how we create, experiment, and engage with the fashion world. The GFF wants to support and celebrate this innovative sector through submissions from a broad range of courses, showcasing the exciting innovations and future creators of the digital fashion space. Submissions can include virtual garments created with CLO3D or similar software, avatars, virtual catwalks, dressing rooms, and innovative digital solutions to fashion’s physical problems. This can also be a collaborative project by more than one student.

Criteria:
- Creativity, original thinking, and relevance to fashion’s emerging digital sector
- Quality and execution of concept into the final project are also to be taken into consideration.
- The project must demonstrate an excellent standard of visuals and innovative, purposeful use of specialist software.

A supporting statement of (200 - 250 words) that can contextualise the nominated student’s entry from concept to realisation, including images demonstrating that it meets all criteria as detailed above.

An initial digital submission of no more than 15 x pages for the nomination shortlisting. The final judging session will display the full physical body of work.

The nomination can be a maximum of 10mb, illustrating the final project and a supporting statement.

Process:
The Digital Fashion award will be judged in two stages. All nominated students will have to submit a supporting statement for scrutiny at the pre-event shortlisting by industry experts.

Part 1:
Monday, May 19, 2025, 18:00 hours - Deadline for submission, academic staff are to
nominate 2 final year students and the nominations must be made by clicking on the link below:

Selection:
An Industry expert will shortlist 12 students from the entries submitted.
Thursday, May 29, 2025 - The names of the shortlisted students will be announced.

Part 2: Judging
Awards Judging will be onsite at GFW in central London. Shortlisted students must bring their full entry for the final judging. This can be physical work plus digital elements if required. The judging will be an opportunity to talk through the students work, ideas and answer questions from the judges.

All nominated students must attend the full judging day during GFW and ensure they attend all talks, meetings and judging sessions as well as the end of day Awards Presentation and celebratory networking event. Winners will receive promotion across the GFF networks.
