We’ve wrapped on another amazing day of awards judging here at Second Home in Shoreditch! Today, 10 awards were judged by our panels of esteems industry experts from across the spectrum of skills — from fashion photography to creative direction and styling.
Our judges included GFF Global Ambassador Christopher Raeburn, designer Patrick McDowell, Hannah Craggs from WGSN, representatives from Getty Images, stylist Rebekah Roy and many more! We were thrilled to have the team from YKK, one of our event sponsors, to judge the Accessories Award alongside Benjamin Hall, a footwear designer and lecturer at UAL.
Our Footwear Award was judged and sponsored by the team at size?. Daniel Langhorn, the multi-channel lead at size? and Luke Matthews, buyer for size? met 10 finalists from around the country in person and online to learn more about their work and choose their top 3 entries. “All of the nominees were of a really high standard, from all over the world,” he said.
“The level we’ve been of people focusing on elements of sustainability, new materials, unapologetic design, people had a really strong lens of where they wanted to go and the direction they wanted to take. They focused on markets from childrenswear, really high end, high grade footwear, we were blown way!”
Thank you to all the shortlisted graduates that made their way to London and zoomed in from all over the country to share their work with the judges over the last two days! We’ve had an incredible time seeing all your work.
