Recently, the quirky accessories, stationary and gift brand Caroline Gardner, filled their window in Marylebone with the designs of talented and creative designers from GFW18, Lucie Sperry and Penny Gibbs.

LUCIE SPERRY

Lucie is a recent graduate from the University of East London. Her colourful collection takes inspiration from natural forms and unpredictable linear structures.

"Lucie’s use of colour clashing combined with her bold mark making gave her designs a strong presence in our window that really held their own. Caroline loved how Lucie truly fell in love with the process of knit and hand stitching, which contrasts with the quick and sketchy quality of her bold prints."

PENNY GIBBS

"Penny’s knitwear collection, made from cotton and merino combinations, is inspired by skiwear. The aesthetic of après ski evolved around the glamour of high society and in focusing on iconic 1960/70s print influences, the collection and colour pallette exude the vibrancy of the scene."

After showcasing in the the Northumbria University show at GFW18, Penny was selected to participate in the 'Best Of GFW18' show this June.  Penny was the Knitwear Visionary Award Runner Up and was Shortlisted for the ASOS Future Talent Award. Her collection has since been displayed in Newcastle at The Bowes Museum; Fashion through the lens of Chris Moore as well as in the Caroline Gardner collaboration!
