The official BBC Children in Need t-shirt designed by Norwich University of the Arts (NUA) graduate, Megan Grinham, which was unveiled on 5th June at this year’s Graduate Fashion Week, is now available to buy from George at Asda stores across the UK and online.
Megan, originally from Colchester but studied at NUA in Norwich, was one of hundreds of entrants who submitted a design for BBC Children in Need’s 2019 official t-shirt, which is annually worn by thousands of supporters across the UK as they take part in fundraisers, from rambles and three-legged races to fun runs and bake sales. The competition, which was the first time a student has been given the opportunity to design the iconic t-shirt, was organised by Graduate Fashion Foundation, the charity behind Graduate Fashion Week.

The George and Graduate Fashion Foundation teams, along with Pudsey Bear, made a surprise trip to NUA’s fashion studios back in March this year to share the news with Megan. She then spent two weeks working alongside George’s design team to finalise her design and start production on the t-shirt.
Megan’s prize for creating the winning design included the t-shirt going into production and being sold across Asda stores nationwide, as well as online, a two week paid internship at George’s Head Office and an invitation to attend a BBC Children in Need photoshoot and the Appeal Show on Friday 15thNovember.
