Marks & Spencer have combined their in house expertise with young design talent, to produce a collection of exclusive evening wear pieces. The collaborative collection consists of 11 pieces with creative prints and classic silhouettes.

The pieces were designed with Graduate Fashion Week Award Runner Up Claire Tagg as part of Marks & Spencer’s ongoing sponsorship of Graduate Fashion Week. Claire was runner up of the GFW17 M&S Womenswear Award, and has gone on to emulate her distinctive style of print and refreshing take on occasion wear in this collection for Marks and Spencer's.

Under the careful and nurturing guidance from the in house team, Claire created this capsule collection. Rich global inspired florals meet statement silhouettes, in a sumptuous palette of black, gold and grey, creating a feminine evening aesthetic.

The decorative separates are perfect for moving into the Winter season; pare back an elegant kimono jacket with wardrobe basics to elevate the everyday. The mixture of high quality that is associated with Marks and Spencer's and the innovative perspective bought by Claire, makes this a collection to buy before it sells out.

"It is a real privilege to work with emerging design talent through Graduate Fashion Week. The Marks & Spencer design team have a wealth of expertise, but when this meets new creative ideas both sides benefit. This collection is a beautiful example of what is possible when experience meets flair. Our customers love floral prints, and The Evening Edit offers a luxurious take on this motif, which is perfect for the party season"

Queralt Ferrer, Design Director

This year M&S offered five industry placements to graduates; enabling young design talent to learn first-hand from experts in the field, and supporting the Graduate Fashion Week aims of aiding the transition between student and young professional.

GFW17 saw M&S return as a principle sponsor of Graduate Fashion Week. Marks & Spencer’s are committed to education and support of new talent within the fashion industry; to help nurture and inspire future generations. No where is this more obvious than in the offering of tangible design opportunities given to multiple graduates this year.

Each piece is available to buy online and in the M&S flagship store from today! Click here to shop the collection.
