Ivy Lam from Savannah College of Art and Design Hong Kong was announced as the winner of the Gap Inc. International Fashion Show Award.

Judged by the likes of Deborah Joseph; Editor in Chief at Glamour and John Caruso, VP of Women’s & Men’s Design, GAP, Ivy Lam received a prize of £1,000, alongside the opportunity to showcase for free at London Fashion Week SS20 under Fashion Scout.

Giving an insight into the creative and technical skills of graduates from all over the globe, the International Fashion Award Show and Exhibition showcased the best show stopping designs from 40 universities around the world including Accademia Della Moda IUAD, College for Creative Studies, Centro, Istituto Europeo di Design - IED Moda Milano, Pearl Academy and Accademia Costume & Moda.

"I used the orchid flower as the main focus of my design details and the collection is about self-expression and identity.  I’m super thrilled to be a winner – I have no words! " Ivy said.

Launched six years ago by International Trustee Adrien Yakimov Robert, only four universities from around the world participated in the international element of Graduate Fashion Week, however in recent years this has risen to 40 universities, all offering expectational talent.

Adrien Yakimov Robert said: “Fashion is a global subject. Some people are building walls, we’re breaking walls down. Fashion talent doesn’t have an address it doesn’t have one location. London is still an international hub for fashion and having these international awards here is such an honour.”
