GFW Patron Victoria Beckham receives OBE
Victoria Beckham has been awarded an OBE for her services to fashion.
Beckham was presented with the honour by the Duke of Cambridge at an investiture ceremony at Buckingham palace, which recognised her successful 17-year career. Accompanied by her parents and husband, she aptly received the award in a simple and elegant long black dress from her own A/W17 collection.
Victoria Beckham is a patron of Graduate Fashion Week and has been a great supporter of promoting new and exciting graduate talent. For example, earlier this year GFW had the pleasure of hosting a masterclass with Victoria Beckham and Hilary Alexander OBE. This was a greatly insightful tool for the graduate guests, where VB offered tips and advice into achieving a successful career in the industry.
VB began her career as a pop star promoting girl power and is now an accomplished fashion designer and business woman creating clothes for women age 8-80.
On receiving the award VB said;
