Our last GFW live talk for the day was with Nicola Atkinson, a talented costume designer, who’s currently working on her fourth Little Black Dress collection in partnership with singer song writer Alesha Dixon. Atkinson has previously designed show collections for Little Mix, Ellie Golding, Strictly Come Dancing and Britain's got Talent. She went on to explain how movement is a vital consideration when creating costumes for a lot of these stars and shows.

Her line with Alesha Dixon gives her a lot more choice with fabrics, shape and embellishment, as demonstrated the beautiful dresses on display in the GFW talk space. Their latest Spring/Summer lookbook was also showcased digitally on screens, modelled by Alesha Dixon herself, who “makes anything look good”.

Atkinson went on to speaking about how Little Black Dress want to produce a range of designs that appeal to a wide audience of different shaped women, addressing the dilemma all women have at some point, “you want to look fabulous but be comfortable at the same time”.

As a Graduate Fashion Week sponsor Little Black Dress have picked a winner from our graduates, whose elegant evening dress design for the brand and is to be worn by Alesha Dixon.
