The Nottingham Trent University 2016 showcase was all things oversized. Materials were gathered, pleated, buckled and cinched in to form an array of voluminous contours. Puffer coats and large shoulders were extremely popular.

Tailoring was re-worked, cropped and stretched out, the collars were larger and sleeves were elongated. Smart elements were paired with casual sportswear to create refreshing new trends.

Subtle detailing and light embellishments were cleverly hidden within capacious garments and prints made frequent appearences.

Knitwear was intriguingly paired with heavier fabrics, and contrasted with the soft, delicate fabrics that lightly flowed down the catwalk.

Pastels and neutral, earthly tones were highlighted with hints of bold colour, adding to the miss-matched, statement theme that ran throughout the show.
