Sheffield Hallam University help their students to work on real projects with employers whilst studying as well as having lecturers with industry backgrounds.

The catwalk displayed both menswear and womens wear in a variety of patterns and colours. Models strode down the runway in a dewy make-up looks with smeared red lips. The energetic atmosphere matched the moving graphics showcasing the graduate’s names, which flowed with the playful music.

The catwalk show was a mix of bright and bold shaped prints displaying the unique talent of the graduates. A variety of vibrant colours, specifically bright yellows and skin-tight suits were amongst some of the one off pieces.

Popular choices of materials used within the show were chiffon, layered with mesh used over daring prints. Potential career options available after graduating from Sheffield Hallam include avenues in Fashion Design, Production Management in Fashion, Fashion Design Consultant, Fashion Illustrator, Stylist, Creative Pattern Cutter. Previous graduates have become either self-employed or are working for big names in industry, for example Topshop and Zara as an assistant designer.
