Graduates from the University of Brighton sent their collections down our SmartFocus catwalk. There was an eclectic, crazy set of garments, including party hats, bright candy colours and futuristic space suits. If the University of Brighton were to hold a party, we certainly hope we would get an invite.
The sportswear was particularly strong, with Alice Henfrey’s dare-to-bare cut-out swimsuits and ruffled trainers stealing the show, whilst Martina Simeonova designed fluorescent tennis-dress style knitwear. Moving on to the menswear, Ibbi Abossi shook things up by introducing romantic layered pieces with lace trimmings, whilst Sam Bayles used flowers as props to accompany his distressed jacquard and velvet looks.
