We’re thrilled to share the winners for the Class of 2020 Awards, who were recently announced in a webinar awards ceremony. We introduced 5 new awards this year following the news that GFW20 wouldn’t be able to go ahead. In June, a group of industry experts joined us to whittle down the finalists from 10 to 3 graduates for each award, picking only one winner from an incredibly talented selection this year.
We’re getting ready for a big night here at Samsung KX in Coal Drops Yard, where our teams are preparing for a catwalk show and awards presentation this evening. We’ve had a huge day here at the Class of 2020 Showcase, where industry have been dropping by for the private exhibition viewing of graduates work. We’ve been visited by teams from US Vogue, Joseph, size?, YKK, River Island, Browns Fashion and more. It’s an opportunity to showcase the incredible talent of the Class of 2020 in the flesh.

On Friday night, illustrator Elyse Blackshaw hosted an interactive Fashion Illustration Workshop, inviting guests to put their own skills into practice with the Samsung Galaxy S7+ tablet. The guests joined in, creating their own illustrations and learning from Elyse’s experience, having illustrated live events during London Fashion Week and Graduate Fashion Week for the last few years.
We’ve been enjoying the after-hours events at Coal Drops Yard in Kings Cross during the Class of 2020 Showcase. On Thursday, GFF President Hilary Alexander OBE spoke with founder of Duck Productions Lindsay Lowe, who shared her expertise on the importance of moving image within the fashion industry, immersing guests in an array of award-winning content displayed on The Sero QLED 4K TV.

We’re featuring over 37 designs from our member university graduates, displayed in the 20,000 sq ft store that floats above Coal Drops Yard.
