As GFW19 approaches, we catch up with Global Ambassador Christopher Raeburn, founder and creative director of his self titled brand, as well as recently appointed creative director of Timberland. With a passion for responsible design, Christopher shares his thoughts on the current sustainability conversation in the industry, as well as sharing his advice for graduates and what he’s looking out for at GFW19.
Our ambassador Christopher Raeburn is known for his sustainable ethos and ethical credentials. Having always focused on his Remade collection, the designer has now announced a community building project, that teaches his customers the skills of repairing, and offers the chance to meet similarly like minded people.
Christopher Raeburn, Graduate Fashion Week Global Ambassador, Considered Design Advocate and Creative Director of his eponymous brand, recently showcased an innovative and progressive collection during London Fashion Week Mens.
With over 30 awards at GFW18, from design, stands and marketing, we're focused on recognising those with an outstanding ability from across the different fashion disciplines. The most prestigious of these awards, is the Christopher Bailey Gold Award- won by the designer for the first time in 1991.
We caught up with the socially conscious designer as he judged the FatFace Graphic T-Shirt Competition, to hear more about how he incorporates environmental responsibility into his work, what he'll be looking for at GFW18 this June, and what appealed to him about the winning design!
