Recently, Graduate Fashion Week took part in the TASK PR press day in Central London! Our stand included the creative portfolios of soon-to-be graduates, the designs of students from our member universities and a film educating the media in attendance, of the largest showcase of BA graduate talent in the world! Whilst the inventive pieces were available, many of the media wore the garments for a streetstyle shoot.

Here, we're looking at the best of the street style looks. From stylists and creative directors to models and bloggers, we love the way that the graduate collections have been intrepreted on the streets of the city.

Creative Director at Drifters LDN, the Urban British Menswear brand, Rene Harrison, wearS designs by Rachel Bateman, currently a student at Nottingham Trent University.

The striking faux fur coat stole the show at the GFW18 Campaign Photoshoot, as worn by Danielle Vanier. With references to Ru Paul's Drag Race, Bateman has created an entire collection characterised as 'plus-size', having previously worked on a menswear project with ASOS in her second year of study.

Having recently showcased her designs in Beijing, Libby Bowler of Manchester School of Art, her vivid yellow jacket made it's way to London in time for the press day. Confident outer stitching and appropriated materials give the garment depth beyond the garish colour, proving designs can be simultaneously meaningful and seek attention through creative choices.

Worn here by Stylist, Model and Creative Seyon Amosu, we look forward to seeing what Bowler does next, as she captures the attention of the industry before GFW18.

London based blogger, Yuliya, wore the designs of Lauren Halloworth, of University of East London, matching the pieces with her Rolling Stones attire. Whilst she 'can't wait to be inspired' at GFW18, we're looking at Lauren's work as one of the collections focused on social change as well as innovative design.

Aiming to 'celebrate masculinity and femininity as a single definition', Lauren will be showcasing during the University of East London show at 18:30 on Sunday 3rd June.
