University of Central Lancashire deals with over 200 global brands, and has an established alumni profile in senior positions in a wide variety of international companies. UCLAN displayed a large variety of different styles within their catwalk, today at Graduate Fashion Week! The dramatic spotlights emulating the movement of the fabrics as the models kept the audience captivated throughout the show.

From vibrant pinks and blues to more subtle nudes, the garments worn by the models were entirely different. With a trumpet to start the show, the music changes between graduates were varied to suit the collections, whilst keeping an upbeat tune to fit the excited audience. From no heel stilettos by Rose Conner to Shelley Lin’s underwater tone featuring headpieces to emulate coral, using pom-poms and bunched fabrics. The use of chiffon created na elegant and pure feel to the collection.

Amongst the pleased audience we were pleased to designer and  founder of Graduate Fashion Week, Jeff Banks.  From bold designs to clean styles, UCLAN produced layered ruffles, and gingham ears matching pompom shoes. The designs from the graduates displayed diversity within not only the models but with designs by Yasmin Siddique, who displayed an elegant representation of cultures with Sari’s.
