Each year, the GFW Live! Talk Space becomes host to numerous workshops, talks and demonstrations form industry experts. With over 30 awards at GFW18, from design, stands and marketing, we're focused on recognising those with an outstanding ability from across the different fashion disciplines. The most prestigious of these awards, is the Christopher Bailey Gold Award- won by the designer for the first time in 1991.

This year sees new brands flock to support Graduate Fashion Week the largest showcase of BA talent in the world, and the emerging young talent it represents. Ralph Lauren, John Lewis, Johnstons of Elgin, Tessuti and Size? are the latest leading retailers to get involved in the four-day event that aims to bridge the gap between graduation and employment, joining the likes of George, SmartFocus, ASOS, Boohoo, L’Oréal Professionnel, Bonmarche, Mothercare, Gap Inc., YKK and Boux Avenue.

Ahead of GFW18, beginning on 3rd June 2018, at the Truman Brewery Shoreditch, we brought together influencers and models to shoot graduate collections. With many creative and inventive designs from across the UK and from our International Universities, the calibre of design talent continues to improve year on year.

Recently, Graduate Fashion Week took part in the TASK PR press day in Central London! Our stand included the creative portfolios of soon-to-be graduates, the designs of students from our member universities and a film educating the media in attendance of the largest showcase of BA graduate talent in the world! Whilst the inventive pieces were available, many of the media wore the garments for a streetstyle shoot.

We are proud to announce our continued partnership with Tu for the third year running. Following the success of previous years, the 2018 partnership will see both a Womenswear and Menswear graduate receive a year-long scholarship within the Tu design team in Coventry. The lucky graduates will embark on a mentorship with acclaimed British designers Oliver Spencer, who joins for a second year running as menswear mentor, and Teatum Jones who join for the first time, mentoring for womenswear.

On Friday afternoon, the shortlisted candidates for the Lenzing Sustainable Denim Competition were invited to Blackhorse Lane Atelier in Walthamstow to attend a series of talks and workshops designed to educate in the production of denim and sustainable materials.
