As day two of Graduate Fashion Week 2021 draws to a close we would like to share some of our highlights with you! The home of GFW21, Coal Drops Yard has been buzzing today with excited visitors, speakers and graduates! Take a look at the day we’ve had!

Just like that, the first day of Graduate Fashion Week 2021 has ended. The sun came out for us and so did some incredible speakers, graduates and guests. We can’t wait for the 30th anniversary celebrations to continue! Check out our day one highlights!

How cool is this? This week, as we lead up to GFW21, 50 winning graduates of the W1 Curates Competition have had their work showcased in the heart of London, at the Flannels store on Oxford Street! Their work wraps around a 36 huge screens that are three stories high. Couldn’t get a much bigger platform to showcase the graduates incredible work than that!

We’ve had another amazing day of awards judging in London. It was our second day of deliberations, and the quality of work was outstanding. Today our judges included Lifetime Ambassador, Dame Zandra Rhodes, Orsola de Castro from Fashion Revolution, the teams from size? and Tu, our event partners, journalists Yomi Adegoke, Isabella Silvers, Hannah Taylor from the Delicate Rebellion, designer Patrick McDowell as well as many more amazing industry experts!

That’s a wrap on the GFW21 Awards Judging day one! We’ve had a fantastic day at Landmark Space in London for our awards judging! Thank you to our amazing industry judges and congratulations to all our shortlisted graduates. One down, one to go! See you tomorrow, for the next round of judging.

The International Awards Shortlists are out. This year, we have three International awards, including an international catwalk award that will be judged on the event. Check out the finalists for the International Artefact Innovation Award, shortlisted by our event partner Crisden, and the International Digital Fashion Portfolio Award. We can’t wait to share the winning entries soon!

During GFW21, the GFW Showroom offers a unique opportunity to check out the Class of 2021’s collection. You can see up-close the diverse looks from over 100 graduates, alongside their portfolios. If you’re working in the industry, this is an amazing opportunity to scout the freshest fashion talent in the UK.

We’re excited to announce the lineup for the GFW Collective show! Graduates from Angelia Ruskin University, Cambridge School of Visual & Performing Arts, Coventry University, De Montfort University, Glasgow School of Art, University of Huddersfield, Leeds Arts University, Norwich University of the Arts, Plymouth College of Art and Solent University will showcase their work in a group show.

The highlight of the GFW schedule is our Awards Show, which sees the best graduates from across all disciplines rewarded for their hard work and creativity. This year, the awards will be presented to the winning graduates in a ceremony at Coal Drops Yard in Kings Cross. Each year, to round off GFW, we host a Best Of catwalk show. 25 of the best graduate collections, as picked by industry judges. And this year is no exception.
